Must have: Senior Telecommunications Specialist with expert knowledge of Megastar, True Point, Tsunami, DDM200, DMX200, Proxim channel banks, Net Guardian products. The candidate needs to have sound trouble shooting and maintenance experience and be able to supplement current staff. Responsibilities: The Contractor shall provide maintenance, trouble ticket resolution and planning of the Microwave and related infrastructure. The individual will exhibit considerable technical competence and expertise to perform installation, development, maintenance and repair to the District’s SCADA telemetry systems including the facilities that support it. 1. Respond to phone calls, email and web requests for all IT services; 2. Troubleshoot problems over the phone, through Remote connections and on site visits to District Sites; 3. Repair and/or replace hardware when required; 4. Plan new sites and upgrades to existing sites with participation from District Staff. 5. Observe trends and report on preventive measures to improve system uptime and performance; 6. Make recommendations of hardware, software, process and procedures that may improve the overall system performance, uptime or ease of maintenance.
