12+ contract (need SS#) Locals to WI/Chicago only We're looking for individuals who can do Informatica PowerCenter coding and ETL. They must understand dimensional modeling, XML and corresponding XSDs. They should have broader data mart and data warehouse design skills. These candidates will need to analyze data, help design the data model for the data mart, document the data definitions and Informatica mappings, as well as code the mappings. 1. Technical Lead experience 2. Data Transformation Studio toolset hands-on development experience 3. Informatica Data Services hands-on experience 4. Informatica architect and design experts Some candidates hired will be required to have both technical lead experience and DT Studio experience. Please include a skill grid with your submittal indicating years of experience for each required skill and how they rate themselves on a scale of 1-5 (1= weak, 3 = average, 5 = expert) Required Skills for all positions 1. Extremely knowledgeable Informatica PowerCenter (Strong Informatica Mapping) 2. Extremely proficient in SQL development 3. Extremely proficient in using XML 4. Extremely proficient in designing data warehouse and data marts 5. Extremely proficient in data analysis and problem solving 6. Ability to document designs and clearly communicate alternatives 7. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies 8. Understanding of the differences and similarities between Inmon and Kimball 9. Understanding of Data Warehouse CDC (ChangeDataCapture) processing and challenges 10. Demonstrated modeling skills in 3rd Normal form and dimensional techniques 11. Excellent communication skills a must 12. Team player 13. Self-starter with good work ethic 14. Ability to complete tasks with little supervision Strongly Desired Skills 1. Oracle & DB2 database 2. Exposure to Informatica Data Quality Workbench tool 3. Data Modeling 4. Business Objects Please have candidates respond to the following questions and include response in the submittal 1. If you have Informatica Data Transformation Studio tool experience, how long have you worked on that tool? 2. Have you worked with the Informatica Data Quality Workbench tool? 3. At your last two Informatica assignments, how many mappings have you personally built? (Not how many has your team done) 4. What size warehouses have you worked on? (Numbers of rows, file sizes, etc.) Not exposed to, but warehouses you actually worked with. 5. When troubleshooting a bottleneck, how do you go about identifying and solving the issue? How you approached the issue, not how your team approached issue. 6. If you have Informatica Data Services hands-on experience, please describe high level the project(s) that incorporated this tool.
