We are looking for a Senior Oracle DBA for 6+ months project in
Location: Dallas, TX.
Maintain and monitor 40+ Oracle RAC databases
· Clone Production to Dev/QA using RMAN or database exports
· Responsible for RMAN backups and restores
· Install upgrades and patches to existing databases
· Ability to read AWR reports to identify performance bottlenecks
and perform tuning
· Work with development to design logical/physical Oracle databases
· Identify architectural issues and propose alternatives
· Support the activities required to build and maintain customer
relationships
· Develop and maintain application, data, and execution
architectures including ERP
· This job requires one to work weekends and nights from time to
time
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
· Bachelor's degree in computer related field or equivalent
experience
· Minimum 7 years experience in database administration
· Oracle 11g RAC experience is preferred
· Experience in administering very large Oracle databases on
Unix/Linux
· Ability to configure and use Oracle Enterprise Manager to manage
the databases.
· Experience with cloning, copying, and refreshing databases from
production environments to test environments and developing automated
scripts
