*Job Type*: Permanent *Location: *Tampa, FL Amzur Technologies, a Tampa, FL-based IT solutions and staffing company, seeks a Lead Oracle DBA for a direct placement position based in Tampa, FL. Our client is a leading provider of financial technology and integrated services for the administration of consumer healthcare accounts. They simplify the administration of consumer-driven healthcare for HR outsourcers, benefits administrators, financial institutions and health plans to achieve better management of HSA, HRA, FSA and other accounts. We are looking for an experienced Oracle DBA to manage multiple production, staging and development instances in a fast-paced high volume transaction processing environment. This position will report directly to the VP of IT and provide database administration support for existing production database environments and support the following related tasks: software installation, patch installation, upgrades, query writing, configuration, database creation, security, system monitoring and tuning, disaster recovery planning, implementation of backup and recovery. Must have prior experience supporting a large Production environment running on Oracle 10g or later. * * *Job Responsibilities:* Production support, root cause and performance analysis. Maintain uptime and performance requirements as per SLA agreements with large Fortune 50 clients. · Backup and Recovery of Database contents. Maintain real time replication using Oracle data guard to out of state backup data center over private VPN tunnels. · Lead efforts to guide the team to the best practices for database usage, high availability and business continuity. Analyze existing database applications to improve the functioning on the platform. Mentoring & assisting developers with writing efficient queries. · Coordinate efforts to ensure all database environments including Development, Integration, Test, and Production are in sync. · Administer database security across all database environments. · Provide guidance to other database administrators and application developers to expand the role and capabilities of the database environment. · Prepare periodic reports regarding the unit’s activities and goal attainment. · Maintain a state-of-the-art knowledge of existing best practices in database administration. · Take ownership of critical tasks and major client issues. · The resource will be required to provide 24x7 on call support. To accomplish this obligation, the resource will be required to carry a provided corporate smart phone device. *Job Requirements:* · A minimum of 8 years of Oracle DBA work experience. · Oracle certified Professionals or Oracle Certified Masters are preferred. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work effectively across multiple business units, external clients and technology partners and fellow team members. · Proven ability to manage projects. · Excellent analytical and design skills at multiple product levels. · Excellent research, analysis, project planning and implementation skills. · Aware of business issues as they impact overall project plans.
