Overview of Technical Analyst role on the Merchant Payment Card Industry (PCI) Team Role/Skillset: Security-Technical Analyst-Compliance Coordination Must have skills and background sought: * Strong understanding of network security and network management best practices. * Ability to communicate network configuration requirements to network administrators. * Ability to read network traces and recognize insecure network practices. * Cisco IOS administration on Cisco routers, and switches. * Cisco firewall configuration experience (PIX or ASA). * CCNA or higher certification highly desirable. *Industry experience with an understanding of PCI-DSS and the annual PCI assessment lifecycle for level 1 merchants. *Strong knowledge of high volume credit/debit card processing thru multiple channels. *Strong technical skills & experience with layers of security is a must have. Nice to haves: •Auditing or compliance background, specifically PCI, is a very strong plus. •Experience with Cisco inline IPS. •Cisco Security Manager experience. •Cisco VoIP technology experience. •Previous exposure to call recording technologies.**** ** ** 2nd Position:**** State Farm is looking for a Firewall/ Network Security Analyst to provide 3rd level support. The ideal candidate has experience supporting Network or Application Firewalls. Duties include designing security for applications and providing solutions to determine what needs to be done to secure these applications. Will also configure and install firewalls. Must have excellent soft skills and will work with business partners dedicated to projects. REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALITIES: • Significant experience in supporting Application Firewalls (Citrix and F5) and IMB XSG appliances. Including hands-on experience in installing and configuring these technologies in brand new implementations. • Significant experience in TCP/IP networking, including network design and troubleshooting. • 2 to 4 years experience in network sniffers and packet analysis. • 2 to 4 years experience in general security.
