Worth, TX’ *NEED LOCALS ONLY * *3+ years Java Architect experience J2EE, XML, SOAP, RDBMS, SOA* Our D/FW client is seeking software architects for large, multi-tiered application consisting of client-server components as well as traditional Java EE web applications with SOAP web services and a Java Server Faces front end. Successful candidates will work collaboratively in a team of 4-6 hands-on architects and be responsible collectively for a team of 40-50 developers, 20% of which are offshore. Duties are divided evenly between prototyping, templating, documentation creation, guiding developers and enforcing architectural standards. Problem-solving skills are a top priority as well as is the ability to work in a fast-moving environment and react to new situations and requirements. The ability to work in a team and determine broad architectural direction in a group is also extremely important. *Required Skills:* More than 5 years with Java, Strong core Java, OO Design Patterns Knowledge and Experience, SQL and Relational Database Programming, XML, Service Architecture Programming and JEE (no EJB's, though), Strong understanding of UNIX systems, Strong understanding of Servlet Containers and/or JEE Application Servers. Must be very hands-on and able to code with the team. *Desired Skills/Experience:* Java Swing, Oracle, Hibernate, Spring Framework and annotations, Web Services, JSP, Java ServerFaces, UNIX. Need a Sr. Developer with some Architecture rather than an Architect with old dev. Can work from home for 4 days/ week. Will work 1 day/week in the Ft Worth office. Will train on-site for the first 60 days. Must be very hands on and strong in Core Java as well as EE with strong skills in Design Patterns, templating, prototyping and code enforcement. Their architects are a combination of Senior Develoepers and Architects, so this will be very hands on. Leading development and mentoring more junior developers in addition to actually architecting solutions. *Key Technologies in this area:* Core Java Swing Hibernate/Spring Framework ESB Web Services and strong EJB.
