*Minimum Qualifications 2. Experience 1. General Experience: 5+ years experience as programmer/analyst engaged in requirements gathering, design, development and unit testing of SAS programs. 2. Relevant experience: a. Required skills in SAS Programming: i. Designing and developing processes and applications using SAS programming language which interact with SQL Server or other RDBMS And/Or b. Experience developing ETL processes using SAS DI Studio. i. Additional Desirable skills in other areas: ii. Experience in analyzing requirements for, designing and building multi‐dimensional/ OLAP cubes for reporting using SAS and/or Microsoft SSAS/SSIS is desirable. iii. Understanding of IBM Mainframe COBOL, REX and EZT programs is an advantage. iv. Developing scoring mechanisms and match algorithms for de‐duplication of Person information is an added advantage. 3. Knowledge: Knowledge of the following: 1. SAS Programming language 2. SAS DI Studio / SAS BI/Reporting / SAS Information Delivery Portal. 3. Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) SQL Server 2008 and Structured Query 4. Language (SQL). 5. IBM Mainframe/COBOL/REX/EZT 4. General 1. Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to self learn/learn tools of trade and adapt to different environments with little or no guidance. 2. Office Tools: Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word, working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Project 3. Communication: Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills Responsibilities The Programmer Analysts – Application Development will be responsible for the following: 1. Understanding business and customer requirements that drive the analysis and design of technical solutions. 2. Participating in all phases of the development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, test and integration of products. 3. Working with stakeholders in gathering and assessing business information needs and preparing system requirements. 4. Independently designing the development object in detail, generate specifications, developing and unit testing of process elements. 5. Research, evaluate and incorporate new technology and tools to enhance the product development process. 6. Interact with Quality Assurance team for preparing test scripts, and conducting tests and for the developed objects / processes. 7. Ensures compliance to standards through code walkthroughs and metadata reports Deliverables 1. Types of key deliverables include, but are not limited to the following: 2. Technical specifications for objects / process elements 3. Programs / process objects 4. Knowledge transfer/training of operations staff 5.
