Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required. ยท 10+ years' experience required. * Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: * - Modify existing databases and database management systems. - Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions. - Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations. - Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project. - Perform other duties as assigned. - This is not a developer position, instead, this is a senior desktop engineering position. - Individual will be responsible for developing, testing and helping to implement a corporate standard solution for use of third party browsers including Chrome and FireFox. - This solution is expected to be fully compliant with strict security requirements (predefined) and will be required to also meet strict manageability requirements (ease or management, etc.). - The best candidates will have a strong desktop background, extensive experience with web browsers, as well as strong familiarity with Windows Group Policy and other Windows management practices. *This position will be 90% as an individual contributor with limited oversight from staff. * - The individual must have demonstrated experience as an independent contributor, be strongly process based and understand requirements gathering. - The success criteria include the following; delivery of technical solution to deploy non-standard browsers to Win7 workstations, development of a process to handle exception requests as well as defining a process to handle regular updates/patches and a general plan for routine testing/remediation.
