6 months Rates: Market Location: Anywhere in US Description: Purpose: This position is responsible for data security including the planning, design and implementation of security measures that safeguard access to the organization's files and data. This includes operating systems, network, and application security. The Security Administrator coordinates application security with various departments throughout the company. Responsibilities: . Performs risk analysis for corporate functional and technical areas in the area of data security. . Completes market assessments on vendor products, packages and services. Security test and implement products solving an enterprise security need/weakness. . Works as part of application, operating and network system project teams to assess security capabilities. . Creates and maintains data security documentation, policies and procedures. . Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing data security policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed. . Establishes alternative security measures/compensating controls to allow for business to continue while protecting the company's assets. . Coordinates and ensures adequate and timely resolutions to all audit/compliance issues relating to security . Configure, implement, monitor, and support security software/systems that will help ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and corporate policies and procedures. This includes but is not limited to IDS/IPS (Host/Network/Wireless), secure file transfer, DLP, Full Disk encryption, firewall rule assessments, log management/correlation, secure password storage/retrieval, Application Whitelisting, Web Application Security, vulnerability management, proxy (Forward/Reverse), etc. . Investigates and solves breaches of and issues surrounding data security. . Serves as a focal point for user inquiries regarding security systems use and capabilities. . All other duties as assigned.
