The Business Intelligence Specialist is responsible for working within the BICC and Enterprise Data Warehouse teams to deliver reporting and dashboard solutions that meet the needs of the organization. The developer must work well in a team setting and have excellent organizational, prioritization, communication, and time management skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate accountability, flexibility and adaptability to handle multiple and changing priorities and be able to successfully collaborate with development teams, technology groups, and key stakeholders. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Indicate key areas of responsibility, major job duties, special projects and key objectives for this position. These items should be evaluated throughout the year and included in the written annual evaluation. * Lead all phases of reporting/analytic projects including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, data migration and deployment. * Analyze, translate and develop business requirements into a design of both the metadata and logical data model needed to support both reporting and ad-hoc analysis. * Create, modify, and maintain the data model needed to support reporting and analysis in the Business Objects tool. * Assist the organization with their migration from Cognos to Business Objects. * Move data content from Cognos to BO. * Work closely with data warehouse developers and architect to understand existing data models, and communicate need to develop new data marts to support analytic requirements.
