3 months *Avaya Telephony Engineer* Telephony Engineer will be responsible for supporting, monitoring, and maintaining all Telephony servers, network and systems to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice services. This individual is detail-oriented, has strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills. He or she is a team player, and has exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate ideas in user-friendly language and interact with all levels of staff, clients and vendors. *Top 3-5 must have skills:* • Associates Degree or equivalent experience • Avaya certification preferred • 5+ years’ experience in similar roles preferably using Avaya Systems • 3+ years supporting Avaya servers, G450/G650 gateways • 2+ years administrating Avaya System Manager & Session Manager • 3+ years installing, monitoring and troubleshooting VoIP and SIP trunks Degree Requirement: No, desired *Key Words/Skills (Top 7)* 1 Avaya 2 Engineer 3 Telephony 4 G450 5 G650 6 Vizio 7 Troubleshoot *Essential Functions:* Installation, maintenance, support, and optimization of all telephony hardware, software, and communication links. Provide system oversight to include device monitoring, system performance monitoring, alarm and event monitoring and other techniques to ensure optimum performance of all telephony systems Perform preventative maintenance of telephony related systems, administer upgrades and patches to the enterprise systems as provided by the manufacture. Provide second level support for all Contact Center, Telecommunication and carrier related issues. Work with minimal supervision and be able to debug, diagnose, and resolve problems reported to the Telecom department Independently analyze, prioritize and complete telephony work order assignments to meet SLA’s Interface with vendor-partner technical support groups to resolve complex problems Control, manage and assist in the development of all telephony software and hardware policies Maintain business customer and peer IT team relationships, participate on project initiatives and periodically take a lead project role Propose technical network and equipment system solutions for business requirements, identify opportunities to gain efficiencies Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by the Telephony manager. *KEYS-* Ability to research telephony issues and solutions Ability to analyze and solve problems Detail oriented, organized and professional Ability to write, modify, and troubleshoot vectors Ability to build call flows in Visio requires working under desks and cramped wiring closets. Must be able to lift telephony equipment such as servers, gateways and pull cables as needed Ability to install, monitor and trouble shoot ISDN PRI, H323 circuits Ability to install, monitor and troubleshoot Avaya phones; Analog/Digital/H323/SIP Migration/implementation project so heavy elements of dial plan programing, hardware install and configuration, as well as phone queue planning and design.
