You can reach me at 415-259-4032 or 408-709-1760 , Ext. 936.* Job Title: Sr. SQL Server DBA Contract 4+ months Location: Atlanta, GA Industry: Telecom Interview Process: Phone then possible Skype/F2F *GC and Citizen only* *SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:* * Deep experienced on SQL Server installation/configuration, management and troubleshooting. * Experience working in large enterprise database environments with multiple databases with SAN storage. * Hands on experience on coding, troubleshooting and performance tuning SQL and complicated reporting. * Excellent programming using shell scripts (sh, bash, and ksh) and perl. * Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment * Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices. * Working knowledge of MS SQL Server versions 2000, 2005, 2008 and 2012. * Being able to perform operating system level i/o, cpu, memory and disk troubleshooting and performance tuning tasks using iostat, vmstat, and other tools. * Experience using SCOM and sitescope to monitor and troubleshoot system, cpu, memory, disk, and performance issues. * Maintaining user security. * Excellent knowledge on VMware and plus. * A motivated team-player and fast learner. * Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally to peers and management. * Ability to work under pressure and in high stress situations. *Training and/or experience required for this position* · Clear understanding of networking concepts and server platforms. · *MS SQL Server certified * · Outstanding scripting and querying skills. · *3 - 5 years of experience with MS versions 2000 - 2012* · BA/BS MIS/CIS or equivalent experience at least 8 years’ experience as a DBA role. · *4 years enterprise level production databases support. * · *2 years’ experience utilizing netbackup backup*. · *2 years enterprise database development experience*. · Knowledgeable of enterprise level applications. · Excellent written and verbal skills.
