Overview:



We are looking for an experienced VMware Administrator with core knowledge
of VMware 5.x or higher using Virtual Center for administration. The ideal
candidate should be able to demonstrate technical experience with daily
activities in the field of Server Hardware and Networking. Candidates
should be well versed in Planning, Implementation, Administration and
troubleshooting issues involved with platforms across a variety of OS
servers including Microsoft Windows and RedHat.



Responsibilities / Qualifications:



 Bachelor degree is desired but not required

 VMware Certified Professional and MCP are desired but not required

 Minimum of 6-8 years of experience working with VMware servers in a
production environment.

 Install, configure and manage VMware vSphere and ESX Environments.

 Configure VMware Distributed Resource Scheduling, High Availability and
Fault Tolerance.

  Install, configure and manage VMware ESX hosts, App-V

  Understanding of Storage Architecture

 Understanding of security best practices for multi-tiered operating
systems.

Advanced VMware ESX/ESXi and created and managed VMs (virtual server) and
also involved in the maintenance of the virtual server.

Technical written and verbal communication skills (technical writing)

 Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.

Worked on vCenter Server 5.x or higher for managing multiple ESXi Servers.

Build and troubleshooting experience with ESX Servers and ESXi

 Servers, vSphere and vCenter manager.

Extensive understanding of networking concepts, (IE. Configuration of
networks, TCP/IP, VPN, VLANs, and routing in LAN/WAN, Ethernet Port, Patch
Panel virtual networking, wireless networks & Cloud (computing Concepts)

Experience with VM View, installation and configuration.
