Senior Level Network Engineer



Ideally works in a large retail environment designing and implementing
reliable, high performance, cost effective data and voice network solutions.

ñ  Utilize Cisco equipment including Cisco routers ASR, 39xx, Cisco 6500,
4500, 3560, and 2960 switches, Nexus 9k, 5K and 2K switches, Cisco ASAVPN
firewalls, Cisco WLAN Controllers and APs, Citrix netscaler and fortinet
firewalls

ñ  Provide technical network assessments of various corporate
locations.  Develop
and present technical recommendations to improve reliability, performance,
and security at these locations

ñ  Assess new technology and determine value of implementing new technology
in customer network.

ñ  LAN migration to VoIP solutions at various locations.

ñ  Created and supported VRF in the campus network to maintain separate
routing policies for different agencies connected to the network.

ñ  Implemented Cisco wireless LAN Controllers and Cisco LWAPs, which
provided wireless network connectivity to mobile users.

ñ  Team Leader of engineers whose responsibilities include design, build
and provide support of WAN and LAN.  Exhibits technical expertise in WAN,
LAN and Wireless network infrastructure.

ñ  Implemented dual-homed internet connections with multiple service
provider.

ñ  Implemented and supported multi-routing protocol environment, which
utilizes BGP, OSPF, and static routes.

ñ  Implemented business to business VPN connections to provide connectivity.


ñ  Worked with project management team to design and provide costs for new
sites startups and acquisitions.

ñ  Implementation of VPN’s over wireless network utilizing Cisco APs and
VPN concentrator

ñ  Implemented QoS in both layer 2 and layer 3 environments

ñ  In depth protocol analysis utilize packet capturing tools IE: Acelive,
Wildpacket.  Excellent problem solver ;go to person to identify and isolate
performance problems (Network, system or Appl)

ñ  Network management tools in ORION, Cisco PRIME,  Fortinet

ñ  Deployment of 802.1x security for both Cisco wireline switches and
wireless devices.  Knowledge of Radius, Active Directory, TACACS, AES,
PreShare Key,

ñ  Designed, built and support high availability networks.

ñ  Exhibits excellent communications skills, project management and
documentation

ñ  Ability to mentor providing technical advice, assistance and provide
instructions in layman’s term.    Person needs to be a team player / worker.

ñ   Create / modify / interpret ACL's (access list) and routing tables for
routers and firewalls.

ñ   Exhibit working knowledge of best practices and standards in network
configurations for securing administrative and user access according to
guidelines established by government PCI, HIPIAA  and SOX rules for Retail
industries.

ñ   Working knowledge to develop, modify, standardize and automate mass
deployment of a common network configurations to thousands of nodes as well
as develop processes and procedures for network operations.
