Most important is a candidate that has worked in the information management space, on either ETL OR BI side, NOT on the application management side (IE JAVA, J2ee) looking for more data warehousing Looking on OLAP side (online analytical processing) NOT OLTP - online transaction processing. Location: New York, NY : Strong Information architecture experience with experience creating solution architecture and design documents : Work in collaboration with the Enterprise Architects/Information Architects , all necessary IT SMEs related to each initiative/systems and Discovery Manager to complete the overall Discovery Architecture Document (DAD) as per the Discovery guidelines : Provide weekly update to the TAG Lead on the status of each Discovery effort including reviewing the solution design for each Discovery effort : Produce high level System Design document and monitor and approve detail design and development efforts to ensure that the implementation is complete as per the solution : Support proof of concept activities such as new technology evaluation : Develop best practices, standardized tools and technology : Participate in estimation, and produce rough order of magnitude estimates : Review non-functional requirements and ensures that the solution and high level design meets business needs : work with their corresponding other team Solution Lead to complete the DAD documents per the Discovery timeline : Ensure that DAD standards are met, and latest templates are used : Coordinate with onshore/offshore team members to complete the required DAD documentation and be ready to review them with TAG team in a review before submission to the Discovery Team for estimation : Participate in estimation, and produce rough order of magnitude estimates : Review non-functional requirements and ensures that the solution and high level design meets business needs Overall Roles & Responsibilities: •Work with Business, CTO, Discovery Team and IT Delivery Organization to lead the solution development early in the SDLC lifecycle (Discovery) starting with Solution Design, Rough Order Magnitude (ROM) and Discovery through supporting the implementation. •Create and present to stakeholders the Discovery Architecture Document (DAD) including the Solution Context Diagram. : Review the testing plan, testing strategy and implementation plan for each initiative that goes through project implementation. : Health plans experience The candidate will need to work for 2 to 3 days in the office (possibly at another client location including CT, NY or NJ) Required Skill Sets : 10+ years in the Information Management space with strong Business Intelligence/ Data warehousing architecture experience and experience creating solution architecture and design documents : Data modeling experience (Dimensional modeling and ER modeling) and to be able to work closely with data architects to come up with logical data model and physical data model : Strong Teradata experience with hands on BTEQ experience and performance tuning experience : Hands-on ETL experience in Informatica or equivalent ETL tools : Health plans experience preferred Education : Bachelors in Computer science or equivalent.
