Position : Sr. Java Developer

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or military experience
• At least 5 years of experience in build, Deployment automation and
configuration Management focused on Agile development.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a defined Software Development
Life Cycle environment (SDLC) - requirements gathering/reviews, systems and
application design, development and testing
• At least 2 years of experience in design and coding utilizing Java or
.Net  - individual components (programs, sub-routines), complete systems,
interaction of multiple systems
• At least 3 years of experience with Maven and Hudson
• Experience with Agile, Scrum and/or XP
• Ability to code and script using multiple languages
• Hands-on with the administration of Subversion, Git SCM repositories
• Mastery of Maven, Hudson, IBM uDeploy or other CI/CD tools and deployment
pipeline management applications
• Working knowledge of Java in a J2EE container environment
• Management experience of J2EE containers: Oracle Weblogic or Apache Tomcat
• Comfortable collaborating and communicating in a large team environment
• Embrace, practice and evangelize frequent, incremental code testing and
deployment



Pluses:
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Ability to use a variety of open source and commercial technologies and
tools
• Strong hands on experience with test automation tools, such as, Selenium
or Cucumber





Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the development of multi-platform application systems
• Automate the build and deployment of various Java and .NET applications
• Leverage scripting to build required automation and tools on an ad-hoc
basis using Shell, perl, ruby
• Ability to trouble shoot the build and deployment failures
• Continuously improve and re-engineer the deployment process to push code
faster, achieve better quality, satisfy stakeholders and delight customers
• Collaborate with developers, business partners, architects, and other
groups to identify technical and functional needs of systems, and determine
priority of needs
• Ensure adherence to defined development life cycle, good software design
practices, and Architecture strategy and intent
• Responsible for key system design and integration decisions; and for
communicating decisions to individuals implementing the system
