*Release Engineer * *Duration: 1 – 1 ½ Years*
*Location: Columbus, OH* Job Description Job Objective: Improve software delivery by managing all technical aspects of the build / release process. Support source code management, continuous integration, automated execution of unit and functional tests, and release management. Package and deploy software changes in the development, test, and production environments. Ensure integrity of all the environments required for development and testing of each release. Essential Functions: Responsible for builds, deployment plans, and release activities Administer the source code repository, continuous build implementation, code review tools, and static code analysis tools Manage integration with project management tools and automated test suites Create deployment artifacts and execute build plans for specified products in various environments Troubleshoot problems related to builds, deployment of artifacts, and environment configuration Coordinate between varying business and IT units to guarantee smooth and timely delivery of software Other Functions: Advocate new tools and processes to continuously improve build and source control efficiency Other tasks as assigned MAX Service Objective and Expectations: Exhibit an ongoing dedication to MAX Service. Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree with a major in computer information systems or engineering or equivalent experience. Strong preference given to candidates with: Build tool and continuous integration experience (Ant, Jenkins), experience with (Git/CVS/SVN) administration, code review / collaboration tool experience (Crucible, Smart Bear), static code analysis tools (CheckStyle, PMD), Java Application Servers (JBoss, Tomcat), Agile project management / defect management tools (Rally, HP Quality Center), and integration with automated testing suites (HP UFT).
