Sr. Software Engineer (GC/Citizen) Location: Ann Arbor, MI Duration: 6+ Months Contract Interview: Phone + Skype This position is responsible for design, development, implementation and support of enterprise web-based Java decision support applications. Essential Responsibilities • Responsible for Design and Coding • Accountable for multiple subsystems • Address, own, and resolve issues in a complex system, e.g., performance, data integrity, security, capacity • Proactively stay current on technologies within current sphere of products/projects and disseminate to the engineering group • Provide input on hardware/capital requirements • Initiate/drive process improvement and drive adoption of "best practices" across design, construction, test, etc. • Construct, manage, and maintain the team's development environments. Execute the adoption of new development tools REQUIRED Skills and Experience • Strong Java skills • Strong Web Development skills • Experience with OLAP tools with MDX • Experience with software engineering methodologies including o use of source control repository o automated builds o check-pointing o unit testing o regression testing • Experience with refactoring. • Experience with Windows and Unix development. • Experience with Agile development and continuous delivery systems • At least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
