The CS-SC team working on these projects utilizes an iterative, Agile-like development approach. The desired skills include: - Strong Java experience - Strong SQL knowledge (MySQL knowledge a plus) - Strong working knowledge of one or more Java servlet based frameworks (JSF a plus) - Familiarity with automated xUnit style testing a plus ( experience with Test Driven Development a plus ) - Ability to adapt quickly to rapidly evolving requirements - Self starter who can work independently as well as work effectively with other team members - Good communication skills - Knowledge of Biologic/Genomic domain a plus - Knowledge of Spring and Hibernate a plus - Knowledge of Groovy other dynamic language a plus - Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript (familiarity with Twitter Bootstrap a plus) - Working knowledge of standard tools ( Git, SQL clients, IDE , command line tools, build tools (Ant, Gradle, Maven)) There would be interest in having the resource onsite for a week early in the engagement to become familiar with the team, otherwise a remote work arrangement is acceptable.
