General Roles and Responsibilities: · Provide the third level support team for primarily MQ products and applications. · Manage and support a safe, reliable, consistent and cost-competitive technology supporting MQ · Provide management, support, maintenance and performance & tuning the MQ software in Mexico and ensuring their availability, security and integrity. · Work closely with the team that performs day-to-day support and maintain overall system ownership for MQ and Production Support for applications. · Work with the team to ensure availability and optimum performance of the associated MQ components. · Proactively monitor the MQ and applications to ensure secure services with minimum downtime. · Participate in Projects assigned to integrate solutions to production according with internal policies and standards · Be responsible for problem management including managing outages, resolution, co-ordination with stakeholders and communication · Ensure control processes are in place including RCSA and all compliance process, in alignment with Client policies · Have excellent troubleshooting and problem identification and resolution skills. Troubleshoot to determine root cause of problems in Production environments, Implement workarounds and temporary fixes, Perform Application and MQ logs analysis · Work with 3rd level application support (Product owner, application owner or Vendor) to troubleshoot and resolve issues and to identify continuous improvement actions. · Define and execute Contingency plans for applications (COB) Requisite Knowledge/Capabilities This position requires a minimum of 8+ years of Distributed servers experience, and in-depth knowledge of industry-standard technologies (e.g. Java/J2EE,Weblogic, .Net, MQ, Websphere). · Strong knowledge on Middleware Solutions especially MQ (e.g. Java/J2EE,Weblogic, .Net, Web Logic, TIBCO,MQ, Websphere). · Strong knowledge on UNIX , Wintel , AIX operating systems · Strong background on the Unix with scripting (ssh, Shell, perl) with various platforms (AIX, Linux, Solaris) General Attributes · Excellent interpersonal skills as team player and team leader · Strong communication and documentation skills in English. · High level of personal and professional integrity. · Results orientation - commitment to follow initiatives through to completion. · Ability to break down complex problems and projects into manageable goals · Ability to analyze complex information and evaluate options. · Ability to negotiate and work under pressure · Ability to manage risk appropriately. · Ability to work in a matrixed environment and positively influence desired outcomes.
