Title: *Senior Java Developer* Location: *NY (Only local)* Duration: *6 months Contract to hire* Face to Face Interview Must be US Citizen and Green Card Must Haves Our client, a major Cable and Communications Company, is seeking a Senior Java Developer to work on multiple internal projects. You will spend 90% of your time on the backend, with approximately 10% on the front end. You must be comfortable consuming RESTful API's, and working in an Agile environment. *Responsibilities and Required Skills:* . 5+ years developing enterprise applications using Core Java Technologies - with a demonstrated focus on development of back-end components . Develop, test, maintain and support high quality software and/or Web based programming projects . Work within a modern web development environment using Spring MVC, grails, Maven, test-driven development, continuous integration, etc. . Experience working within a variety of software development methodologies, including but not limited to Agile, RAD, Waterfall, MVC, DDD and/or CI. . Experience in systems design on fairly complex computer systems . Experience developing and deploying applications in a multi-tier environment . Experience in full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) . Strong skills focused on Core Java, with J2EE, EJB, Servlets, and JSP . Must have extensive experience developing and incorporating complex SQL routines (packages) into Java applications . Hands-on experience with Oracle RDBMS is required and any expereince with Cassandra, MongoDB, or CouchDB would be a Plus . Demostrated experience creating and consuming REST-based web services (any experience with SOAP would be a Plus) .
