Title: *SR. SYSTEMS ENGINEER* Location: *Irvine, CA (local candidate)* Duration: *6months Contract* Interview: *Face to face* Job Description Architecture, troubleshooting, tuning, upgrades for Windows Active Directory. Provide highest level support for Application and Printing issues within the Citrix Environment. Troubleshooting, tuning, upgrade, service packs, hot fixes and event logging in VMware 5.5 farm, VM6 Upgrades Assist in architecture, building and maintaining Test and Development environments for application certification. Develop infrastructure planning, optimization and disaster recover projects. Install new applications and equipment as required. Interact and support the PMO team members to ensure their technical requirements are met and to deliver exceptional service levels. Ability to investigate and develop detailed infrastructure solution design/project estimates including resource and infrastructure costs/work effort - through all phases of initiative Coordinate system activities with other groups, reviewing deliverables and communicating status to management. Extensive experience at an enterprise level in distributed computing environments with solid all around knowledge of the presentation, application and data layers. 1Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve availability, reliability, efficiency, performance and overall service. Administrative experience with Windows Servers and workstations. Advanced PC hardware, software knowledge, strong server knowledge. Assist in development, design and implementation of evolving Server standards. Strong documentation skills including system diagrams, logical data models, design documents, solution recommendations, positioning documentation, test and project plans. Strong communication, presentation and documentation skills. Strong critical thinking skills, including systems and business analysis, problem analysis and resolution, good judgment and sound decision making ability. Establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence in team member’s knowledge and concern for the customer’s business needs. Identification and resolution of hardware, software technical problems and malfunctions related to the systems and applications, root cause analysis. Maintain and implement high quality operational standards, processes and procedures. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering or other related degree or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience. 10+ years’ experience with the administration of the Windows Server OS and Active Directory Service (AD). Maintain administrative objects, security level delegation, and group policies under Windows 2008 and 2012. Assist in the troubleshooting of any AD operational problems. Experience using Citrix and VMware CP 5/6. Working knowledge of SQL Server and general RDBMS architecture. Good understanding of SAN technologies. Ability to perform basic project management disciplines through the entire project management life cycle. ERP deployments including SAP a plus.
