Need GC and US-Citizen only DB2 System Programmer Jersery City,NJ Duration: 6+months Contract Job *Primary Responsibilities* - Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain DB2 and related products into the z/OS environment - Design, Document and Deploy software solutions in the mainframe environment - Provide advanced support for complex technical problems reported by customers and other technical teams - Work with the software vendors and other technical partners to troubleshoot problems and implement solutions and corrective action - Participate in periodic Disaster Recovery tests - Participates in the evaluation, selection, and piloting of new technologies - Work with a wide range of teams across various issues, locations, and time zones - Provide cross training to peers in the DBMS Support group - Provide oncall support including nights/weekends/holidays on 24/7 rotating basis - Work closely with other departments within Fidelity and act as interface between the DB2 group and the other technical teams coordinating their upgrades/projects/deliverables *Qualifications* *Education and Experience* - Bachelors or Masters in Information Systems, Computer Science or Information Technology or 10+ years equivalent experience. *Skills and Knowledge* - 5+ years’ experience as a mainframe DB2 Systems Programmer - In-depth knowledge of DB2 Internals, components, installations, maintenance, upgrade and operations - Ability to resolve Production DB2 issues quickly and effectively - Experience supporting high throughput OLTP and batch applications - Working knowledge of DB2Connect and DDF work flow - Working knowledge of DB2 stored procedures - In-depth knowledge of z/OS Operating system - In-depth knowledge of ISPF, JCL, SQL, and DB2 utilities - In-depth knowledge of DB2 Datasharing and SYSPLEX environment - In-depth knowledge of SMP/E - Working knowledge of DB2 data replication (QREP, CDC) would be a plus - Proficiency in the use of DB2 monitoring tools (i.e. Omegamon) - Proficiency in the use of IBM DB2 tools / utilities - Knowledge of application development/debugging tools (Data Studio, Visual Explain, etc.) - Proficiency of REXX programming a plus - Off-hours oncall support required - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Clear, concise and effective written and verbal communication skills - Ability to manage overlapping tasks and activities - Good organizational skills *Best Regards,* *Vinay* *Sr. Technical Recruiter* *Infinity, a Stamford Technology Company* *Accelerating Customer Growth…* *Global Locations: US-Canada-India* *US T: 949-415-7068* *F: 203-779-1102* *Email: vi...@infinitysts.com <vi...@infinitysts.com>* *www.infinitysts.com <http://www.infinitysts.com>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle Users" group.
