System is used to schedule workload for nursing staff and case workers. · Various factors are considered, including availability, skills required, disease condition, target dates, risk prioritization and others. · Rules change very frequently and are executed several times each day to optimize work assignments. System is based on SAS, but needs to be re-engineered to use additional factors and weights. Part of this assignment is to make recommendations to improve both the data flows and the algorithms used by the optimization engine. · Target technology for this system is Hadoop and GreenPlum. Data Science tools such as R and Python can be used for optimization. · Candidate must be able to speak and write in a very clear, concise and understandable manner.
