The ETL Business Intelligence Developer will be a member of the Enterprise Business Intelligence team. He/She will work closely with the other members of the team to design and build data transformation packages and processes that will insert data in the business intelligence structures to facilitate ease and expedience in reporting and analysis. The person in this role must be able to work cooperatively with a wide range of business and technical staff. Knowledge of full life cycle development process and experience in designing and delivering business intelligence solutions will be essential for the success of this candidate. *ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:* · Design and construct large ETL mappings, packages workflows etc. · Integrate new data with existing Enterprise Business Intelligence structure. · XML development language · Design and code ETL processes to enable initial load and incremental processing, error and exception handling, restart ability and recovery, data cleansing, validation and monitoring. · Analyze, design, build and support current and new data feeds from various data sources to the business intelligence warehouse. · Development of xml based dashboards and reports · Work with the current Enterprise Business Intelligence data model, data marts and cubes, extending and improving it for flexibility, performance and accuracy. · Create Entity Relationship models to capture business concepts. · Work closely with the Report Analysts, SQL Server DBA, Business System Analysts and Project Managers. *Skill-Set Summa**r**y:* · Must have at least 5 years of experience in IT industry with specia lized skills in MS SQL Server, SQL Reporting Services, SQL Integration Services and SQL Analysis Services, MS Excel and Access Databases, C# .NET Programming Language, XML development language. · Experience with business intelligence warehouse architecture, data quality and data profiling · Experience building dashboards using visualization tools · Knowledge of 1010 data analytics and Aptos Retail suite a plus · Strong MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2008R2/2012 Developer Skills includi ng writing StoredProcedures, User-Defined Functions, Triggers, Views and In dexes etc. · Experienced in identifying database performance issues, Trouble Sh ooting them and applying QueryOptimization techniques. · Highly skilled in SQL Server 2005/2008/2008R2/2012 Administration i ncluding user authorizations,database creation, Backup and restoration. · High expertise in creating Reports of all types in SSRS, like Ad-ho c Reports, Drill-Down Reports, Drillthrough reports, Pivot and Tabular re ports. · Excellent ability to create complex SSRS templates and should be able to understand the report level and database level data manipulation to improve reports generation process. · Strong knowledge of ETL architectures for data transfers between two or more than two homogeneous or heterogeneous environments. · Experienced in creating packages using various tools (DTS/SSIS Im port Export Data, DTS/SSIS Packages, BulkInsert and BCP, SSIS) with using C# scripting language for transferred data modifications. · Excellent skills with Excel having ability to write expressions and Macros using VBA Editor. · Highly Skilled in creating various objects like Macros and Forms in Access database and able to connect it to various sources like MS SQL, MS Excel etc. · High Expertise in developing MS Windows Application Environment using C# .Net programming language, capable of supporting and handling complex business requirements. · Proficient in developing windows application using C# .Net programming language and connecting it to different data sources such as MS SQL, MS Access, and MS Excel etc. · Highly expert in developing optimized programming algorithms to satisfy business requirements in the most efficient way. · Good understanding of OLTP and OLAP information systems with ability to extract, transform and load data from OLTP to EDW. · Worked on Agile scrum Methodology and designed high level ETL arch itecture for overall data transferamong multiple environments using SSIS. · As a part of the team, extensively involved through the Software De velopment Life Cycle (SDLC) from initial Planning through implementation of the project. Capable of handling responsibilities independently as well as a proactive team member. · Fast learning capability, can adapt to the n-tier development environment, excellent communication, learning, problem solv ing and conceptual skills, ability to work effectively in a teamenvironment as well as individually. · Highly capable of understanding business requirements and able to fulfill them efficiently. A retail industry experience is a plus. *Degree Requirement:* Applicant should have at least Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
