Location: Scranton, PA Rate: $60/hr Duration: 1 year * Skill Set required: *MIDDLEWARE DEVELOPER * Languages/Approaches/Components* 1. Web Services 2. XML 3. C# 4. IBM MQSeries 5. MSMQ 6. VB 6.0 7. COM/DCOM 8. COM interop 9. C++ * Experience needed:* * 5 years working with client server computer systems. * 5 years middleware component development with Microsoft technologies * 2 years experience developing and supporting C# code that communicates with java web services * Troubleshooting * Production support * Good communication and documentation * Scope of Work & Assignments:* The candidate for this position will fill a middleware developer position on an Infrastructure development team and will work alongside several other highly skilled middleware integration technologists. The candidate will be responsible for modifying and supporting existing middleware components and creating new ones. Languages required are listed above. * Middleware products that must be supported include VB6 and C# objects running on WinTel platforms. * The candidate will need the ability to analyze existing C# and VB code and understand what modifications need to be made to the existing code to support a given requirement. * Position requires increased participation in the production support and troubleshooting areas and a normal developer role in other companies (30-40% heads down development). * He/she must have a solid background working in a formalized SDLC process. Requirements analysis, effort estimates, component development, unit testing, defect resolution, and production support will be part of the job responsibilities. * He/she will be working in a highly motivated team atmosphere and will therefore need to be willing to learn from others and also be willing to share knowledge. * The candidate must be capable of assessing complex situations and quickly arriving at technically sound solutions. * He/she must be able to communicate with individuals of varying technical expertise as they will have to interact with other developers, system testers and business analysts.
