There is building and troubleshooting conducted within Wintel boxes. In addition, under the project "Rise" there is clustering and domain controlling. In addition to the skills below, it is vital that the candidate by disciplined as much approval is required before work is conducted. The ideal candidate would be able to work within these constraints and know that they cannot just move forward with any changes before confirming all approvals required. * * * *Skills Spec* Manager is looking for a Windows expert. The "perfect" candidate would be one with all the skills listed below. Those listed in red are *specialized skills *that the candidate MUST have and be especially strong in as they will be bringing these skills to the team. The candidate should have around 5 years in the specialized skills. St. Louis based (Creve Coeur & Hazelwood area) Wintel based OS installation & Implementation expertise Hardware/system (HP) builds, ability to plan implementations, submit cabling requirements Knowledge of Enterprise networks, firewalls (Cisco based); TCP/IP, UDP Multicast Performance Tuning of Windows OS, Network interfaces and network tunable parameters Troubleshooting skills (to include windows os, hw, network connectivity ) MS Visio & Excel use for documenting and planning installations Server / HBA setup for SAN access (powerpath / HBAnywhere a plus) Ghosting servers Knowledge of ITIL process with focus on Change and Incident Management Flexible working hours – may have to work after hours.
