*Looking for a Lead Cognos Developer* ***Required Skills:* * **Data Modeling 2 yrs * *** Developer 5 yrs *** * Project Leadership 2 yrs *** * Applications and Tools 2 yrs *** * Information Technology 6 yrs *** * COGNOS ReportNet 6 yrs* ** * * *Duties:* *·** **As the Lead Content Engineer for Cognos, you'll work as a part of our Global Business Intelligence (GBI) organization developing world-class information management solutions for client. *** *·** **Candidate will lead reporting teams that are responsible for developing and deploying business intelligence applications using Cognos. ** * *·** **Candidate will collaborate with BI Application Engineers and our business partners to develop high-level designs including logical models and functional specifications and framework models that leverage client's EDW to create business solutions. *** *·** **Candidate will facilitate and drive meetings with global participation. *** *·** **Then, Candidate will work with the team to ensure that the reports and model being developed using Cognos meets the business requirements. *** *·** **Candidate will then work with the business and IT teams to transition these applications into our production environment by providing support and training through the release cycle. *** *·** **Candidate will be doing this work as part of client's BI rollout in support of increasing client's competitive advantage through the use of business information to make key decisions. *** *·** **Candidate will gain exposure to global scenarios, which require technical savvy, communication skills and the ability to effectively multi-task. *** *·** **Candidate will also mentor other team members and help drive internal GBI initiatives. *** *·** **In addition, you'll be involved in developing applications in an integrated BI solution leveraging the Enterprise Information Store * * * *Skills:* *·** **2 years' additional professional experience in lieu of a degree * *·** **6 years' experience in IT * *·** **2 year experience in a leadership and/or mentoring role (virtual or direct) * *·** **3 years experience using Cognos * *·** **Extensive Cognos BI 8 Framework Manager and Report Studio experience required * *·** **2 years' experience with relational and or multidimensional databases and data modeling * *·** **Strong written and verbal communication skills * *·** **Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of IT and business counterparts * *·** **Experience with the complexities of cross-functional issue identification, prioritization and resolution * *·** **Experience with developing project plans/timelines for small and medium size projects * *·** **Experience participating in multiple, complex projects and working with diverse teams in multiple locations * *·** **Ability to gather and understand business requirements and translate into IT solutions using Cognos * *·** **Experience with BI tools focused primarily on presentation and data-mining * *·** **Data Warehousing using Teradata experience is preferred * *·** **Expertise in Cognos Framework Development including best practice and standards for performance and optimal design * *·** **Write Business Reports * *·** **Mentor**/ train others on the team*** * * *Education:* *·** **Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science (or equivalent with focus on databases and data modeling) or a related field ** * *Thanks & Best Regards* *Akbar* Account Manager Netxert, Inc 3915 Research Park Drive , Suite # A-1 Ann Arbor , MI 48108 ( 734-786-0171 Fax : (734)-222-8005 [email protected] http://www.netxert.com Live Chat : [email protected] Disclaimer : We do not endorse undesired email.
