*Position: Websphere Portal Engineer* *Location: Jersey City, NJ* *Duration: 7 Months* *Rate: $45-47/hr (Not Negotiable)* * * *REQUIRED Skills/Qualifications:* 1. B.S.C.S. or equivalent work experience required. 2. Six to ten years of progressive experience in computing, development, architecture and/or client/server application integration and implementation. 3. Three years financial industry support experience 4. Implementation experience into Sun Solaris environments 5. Excellent knowledge and experience working with and integrating the Websphere and Portal environments (Websphere certification- desired). 6. Proven experience deploying WAS (4x and 5x) and Portal (4.2 and 5) architectures. 7. Experience with data management, relational or object-oriented systems (Oracle 8/9.x)- desired 8. Working knowledge of HTML, XML and scripting tools 9. Experience working with, implementing and troubleshooting JVMs, Java Servlets, JSPs, Java Beans 10. Strong research, investigation and evaluation skills 11. Experience in architecting server side Java applications 12. Experience with successful implementations of highly scalable and highly available systems in a multi-tier environment. 13. Proven ability as a team member or small team leader to communicate technical concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff. 14. Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment. 15. Experience integrating enterprise services such as messaging middleware and LDAP services 16. Experience with infrastructure technologies such as TCP/IP, firewalls, packet routing/switching and load balancing.
