The role is for an architect to develop, manager and perform development support, Design and R&D functions focused on next generation market data, network, and distributed computing technologies supporting business strategies. * * *The primary functions of the role are:* · Support global business and development technology projects and roadmaps · Help develop long term MDS technology roadmap · Coordinate cross technology working group for lab testing. · Create test plans and documentation · Coordinate regular vendor sessions and working groups * * *Qualifications:* * * *Required:* * * *• *Bachelors' Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required, Master preferred. • 5+ years experience UNIX/Linux • 5+ years experience TCP/IP Networking, routing, multicast technologies. • 5+ years experience programming (C++ or Java) • Project management • Strong documentation skills • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills will be required for this role. * * * * *Knowledge areas of particular relevance are:* - Tibco Rendezvous messaging - LBM Middleware - Grid Computing - InfiniBand - Hardware Acceleration and FPGA *Desirable:* * * • Reuters RMDS (inc.
