Job Title : AIX Administrator
Location : Piscataway NJ
Duration : 12 Months
*Job Description:*
System Administrator will be responsible for setup and
maintenance of IBM BladeCenter JSnn and p-Series hardware. Setup includes
racking, cabling, labeling, defining disk and network subsystem and
installing AIX/vendor/ISCP software. Maintenance includes primarily System
and Database Backup and Restore, troubleshooting AIX, 3rd party Vendor SW
and proprietary SW installs/upgrades. Candidate will work as an effective
team member to track/execute/deliver on time; and perform other duties as
assigned.
*Job Requirement:*
· Extensive Knowledge and experience of UNIX and AIX administration
including operating system installation on different hardware platforms
(p630, BladeCenter JS21/JS22), boot codes/strapping. Disk subsystem
DS4700/DS3400
· Solid understanding of Disaster Recovery strategies and have a
proven record of implementation and support
· Experience in automating System Administration functions using
KornShell. Perl is a plus.
· Solid understanding of deploying real-time applications in a High
Availability application & Architecture
· Experience with TCP/IP networking, T1, E1 & SS7 signaling.
· Experience in Tivoli, SMIT, Virtualization/LPAR
· Experience in Microsoft Office tools including Excel and
PowerPoint
