Quality Assurance Analyst
Position Description
Assist in facilitating both manual and automation testing that may
consist of, answering business process team member's questions,
communicate processes and procedures, map test cases to process
documents, perform quality checks on defects, attend daily triage
meetings, perform peer reviews on manual and automation scripts, execute
scripts, create manual and automated scripts, review functional and
technical documents, follow-up with developers during the different test
phases, run reports, participate in kick-off sessions, attend daily test
debriefings, troubleshoot and document issues that arise from testing,
communicate with off-shore testing teams, provide update reports to
management, and perform general quality assurance tasks.
Responsibilities
* Oversee high level completion of daily test activities
including:
* Completion of scheduled test cases
* Test calendar management (advancing test cases to run earlier
than scheduled if possible)
* Coordinate cross department testing and finance conditioning
with all impacted areas
* Work with defect manager to recognize impact of open defects on
script execution
* Manage resource schedule and daily reporting updates to
management
* Ensure Quality Center is up to date with appropriate
status/comments and attend Daily SIT/UAT call
* Responsible for assisting, training, and leading the business on
testing practices, approach, and methodology
* Assist in resolving cross-functional issues, within the Default
and other business areas as it relates to testing
Qualifications
* Minimum 4+ years of Quality Assurance / Testing experience with
a thorough knowledge of software development lifecycle principles and
quality assurance methodologies.
* 2 years formal system/software testing including test planning,
test management and test execution.
* Experience working with developers, business teams, project and
release managers. Through knowledge of functional test tools such as
Mercury Quality Center.
* Experience coordinating testing for either business users and/or
application development areas.
* Excellent organizational, planning, project management, problem
solving and decision making skills including experience with project
risk assessments.
* Education Required: Bachelor of Science, or higher, preferably
in technology related field such as Computer Science or Management
Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
* Excellent oral and writing, communication and time management
skills.
