This individual will be a senior member of technical staff in the server infrastructure development team. Responsibilities include full life-cycle architecture, design, and development of software components for Solaris and Linux. These components require experience with network/distributed programming, programming complex behaviors/policies/ algorithms, multithreaded programming, and network management protocols. The individual will work closely with other teams of product development and other team members in delivering high quality software product. Required Skills: - BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree. - At least 6 years total software engineering experience, including at least 4 years experience with C++- Experience with full-lifecycle commercial software development - Solaris/Linux System Programming experience - Experience developing multi-threaded components - Experience using IPC and STL - Experience developing and maintaining APIs. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Self motivated with ability to work and collaborate effectively - Unified Modeling Language (UML) - Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) - Telecom industry experience / Familiar with: IP Networking, SNMP,Cobra, TL1 - Working knowledge of Oracle ADDITIONAL NOTES: Client highly prefers who can go for face to face - that is their highest preference but not a must.
