*Location: *Columbia, SC* * *Duration: *6 Months** *Rate: $40/hr on C2C* * **Required Skills:* Oracle, JAVA Script, VB.Net *Specific Duties and Responsibilities:* Individual to supervise and direct the daily activities of six database programmers in the migration of existing data and applications from the Unisys mainframe to Oracle as well as convert PC-based, desktop database applications to Oracle. This individual also will perform daily database management activities including performance monitoring and tuning, backup and disaster recovery and diagnostic evaluation/troubleshooting. *Supervise database and applications development: * Direct agency database and applications technology design, implementation and evolution by developing system design and technology integration strategies including implementation schedules and procedures. Supervise applications development & evaluate staff programming code. *Integrate and manage agency natural resource and administrative data:* Design data schema, develop integrated normalized tables and record structures, develop systematic procedures for data input, conversion or import of tabular administrative, financial or natural resource scientific data into the Oracle data base management system. *Facilitate the integration of technologies:* Supervise and direct the integration of multiple technologies into a comprehensive information management system by developing data base access and analysis tools using Oracle PL/SQL, Visual Basic, C#, Java, JDeveloper, Javascript and other appropriate programming languages.
