*1.     Scope of Professional Services
*The successful resource will supplement internal IT staff by making
providing work onsite or remotely, at the direction of during normal
business hours for the duration of the project.  The resource will perform
functions* *assigned and supervised by including but not limited to: storage
administration and management projects, tasks including installations and
replacements, changes, implementation, storage provisioning, capacity
planning and management, and basic problem management.
*1.1            Professional Services Activities*
The NetApp resource will provide a variety of services to  including the
following:
*A.   Case Management
*
The resource will provide regular updates on  case status to  Project Lead.
 They will open and monitor cases for  They will maintain a list of  open
cases and will ensure that the cases are being worked and have not stalled
at any point. This may be accomplished by emailing the Technical Support
Engineer (TSE) working a case, requesting an update, or serving as a
facilitator between  staff and the NetApp. When possible, they will take the
lead for these cases and perform diagnosis and resolution on the issue.


*B.    System Management and Execution
*
The resource will provide project management and project execution work as
required by Bayer that may include:

·      Filer installations
·      Hardware upgrades and additions
·      Data ONTAP and firmware upgrades and recommendations
·      Operations Manager (OM) installation and upgrades
·      Filer monitoring using OM
·      Onsite diagnostics and replacement of hardware components
·      GSC coordination
·      Test planning and execution
·      Participation in regularly scheduled reviews with Customer
·      Documentation of NetApp storage environment

Exemplary Activities
*Following are examples of activities that are within the scope of this
position:
·      Perform daily monitoring and diagnostics.
·      The PSE should handle any parts returns for  NetApp systems.
·      Serve as an assigned advisor responsible for understanding
environment and representing  support needs to the NetApp.
·      Perform onsite service and repair.
·      Perform upgrades and local installations.
·      Provide assistance with the NetApp NOW site and advice on how to best
use the site.
·      Assist with technical support matters in cooperation with NetApp when
required.
·      Coordinate NetApp personnel and field resources to solve  problems.
·      Report on process and product maintenance.
·      Regularly analyze AutoSupport diagnostic data.
·      Perform case trend analysis.
·      Provide proactive service management, including software and hardware
release planning and bug analyses.
·      Analyze software patches and field alerts, and advise Customer as to
the appropriate next steps.
·      Assist with disaster recovery ("DR") planning, data archiving
planning, and data migration planning.
·      Analyzes Customer needs and recommends additional products and
services to meet these needs.
·      Participation in Customer's weekly change management meetings.


    - *Representative Skill Set for Onsite PSE Resource.*

The NetApp on-site PSE Resource assigned to this SOW will possess the
following skills and experience levels:

-  3+ years NetApp experience
-  Netapp Certified Data Managment Administrator (NCDA) certification
-   Fabric Metrocluster experience
-  FAS900, FAS30x0, FAS31x0,FAS60x0 experience
-  Extensive SnapMirror experience
-  MultiStore/vFiler experience including DR feature set
-  Oracle/SAP/VMware on NetApp experience
-  Multiprotocol implementation - access to same share/export via CIFS and
NFS
-  NFS, CIFS, FCP, iSCSI, FTP protocols
-   Ethernet experience to work with network Admins to configure virtual
interfaces (vifs) on NetApp
-  OSSV and SnapVault experience
-  Operations Manager (DFM) experience
-  Storage reporting and documentation
