The selected candidate will perform the following duties: - Administration and support of UNIX systems - Support for HP, Sun Solaris, and IBM P-Series include test, development, and production - Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and software infrastructure components - Coordinate replacement/upgrades of failed hardware, escalate problems -Communicate with support and development teams as appropriate - General administration duties, including security administration, storage, etc. - Produce project plans for major system implementations - Responsible for system security including passwords and permissions - Maintain automated system backups and procedures for computer operations - Monitor system performance enhancements and disc capacities - Assist in setup and configuration of new systems - Perform source control management in some cases Requirements In order to be considered for this position you must have experience in the following areas: - At least 5 years of UNIX experience - Sr. Level experience with IBM P-Series hardware, AIX 5.3, HP-UX 11.x, SUN OS - Experience with HP9000 RPxx/L Class Servers, EMC DMX/Clariion (Fiber Channel) - Fluent in server virtualization(VIO), Veritas NetBackup Server, Veritas Volume Manager/HP - Experience with Veritas HA, IBM HACMP, SOX remediation, LVM Redhat Linux (Enterprise Server and Fedora) - At least 4 years experience with HP and IBM server hardware running UNIX operating systems in a Cisco\Bay Networks environment - Proficiency with the installation and administration of the various UNIX operating systems, networked printing and third party support applications (e.g. SMS, PC Duo, etc.) - Proficiency with network security, backup methods, and physical security - Ability to write scripts in some administrative language (Perl or Shell) -- Thanks & Regards.
