Overview
Job Title : Unix Administrator
Location : Schenectady, NY
Duration : 18+ Months
Rate : Open
Key Skills:
Minimum of four (4) years experience installing, configuring, and
administrating IBM/AIX, HP/UX, or Red Hat Linux systems. At least one year
of that experience must be within the last 24 months.
Minimum of four (4) years experience with Korn shell and scripted systems
utilities. At least one year of that experience must be within the last 24
months.
Minimum of three (3) years experience with enterprise backup solutions such
as Tivoli Storage Manager or VERITAS NetBackup.
Minimum of three (3) years experience administrating and configuring
Enterprise Storage Systems and SAN Infrastructures
Other requirements
1. Experience installing, configuring, and administrating IBM/AIX systems.
2. Experience installing, implement, and support the IBM Power 6 systems
Virtual Input / Output (VIO) Servers using the Advanced Power Virtualization
(APV)
features.
3. Experience installing, configuring, and administrating HP/HPUX Unix
systems..
4. Experience installing, configuring, and administrating Red Hat/Linux
systems.
5. Experience installing, configuring, and administrating HP/Tru64 Unix
systems
6. Experience administering and configuring Enterprise Storage Systems
7. Experience administering and configuring fiber SAN infrastructure
8. Experience installing, configuring, and administering UNIX utilities such
as Samba, SSH, SUDO
9. Experience with Unix related backup applications, such as, (Sysback,
VDump, IGNITE)
10. Experience with system security monitoring and auditing analysis
11. Experience with system performance monitoring and analysis
12. Experience installing, configuring, and administering Sun Java web
server
13. Experience installing, configuring, and administering Apache or Tomcat
servers
14. Experience working on a project team in a large, complex, data
processing environment
