*Job Title : SAP Project Manager: Location: Chicago, IL Duration: 11 months* * ***Must have supply chain management SAP experience* *Job Description:* Within a large manufacturing SAP project for the Supply Chain track, maintains project plans, reports on deliverable status, coordinates work and provides input to the Program Manager. Position will report to and work with the Program Manager and Functional Team Managers/Leaders to plan and coordinate project deliverables. This role is responsible for executing project management task for the Supply Chain track of work. The position will work within a peer group providing a consolidated picture of project status and activities. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* Will assist with the creation of and maintain project plans at a functional team level integrating them into an overall view of the project. Will assist with functional team and overall project status reporting. Will track deliverables and highlight slippages and potential derailments to the functional team and project manager throughout all phases of the project.Will act as the team expert on project processes and deliverables, as well will assist team members with producing high quality outputs. Will influence team and project level communications plans. *ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES*: Will influence project communications to external Business and IT audiences. Will influence management of project issues. *KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:* Broad knowledge of the business functions and organizations supported by the Manufacturing program is important. Some Technical experience and broad understanding of the SAP application is required. A comprehensive knowledge of the general direction of the SAP application and general Manufacturing industry and technology in order to define, direct and propose appropriate adjustments to the implementation planning strategy. Considerable interpersonal skills to manage communications with IT and Business staff and their management who are working under tight deadlines and considerable pressure. Previous experience within multiple large scale software or product development projects, working with internal and external partners. *EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:* A minimum of 5 years of experience and responsibilities with large manufacturing SAP projects. PMP Certification or equivalent experience is required.
