*Project Location* *Princeton, NJ* *Duration* *12+ Months **Contract* *Interview Mode: Phone + F2F* *Visa: Any* *Job Description:* The IT Capacity Analyst will be responsible for defining monitoring thresholds and events that should trigger action, or incidents that align to service expectations; as well as defining and communicating with Business and IT stakeholders on reporting needs and analyzing current utilization, aligned with the infrastructure provider’s capacity manager. This role will participate in establishing a demand forecast model, IT capacity analysis of multiple infrastructure services in all areas of IT (applications to server, storage, network, and database) which is matched to the current and future needs of the business by providing patterns of business/applications demand. *Responsibilities* • Develop, implement and perform capacity planning and forecasting processes for the organization’s infrastructure related to the business needs and applications. • Right size requests for NAS volumes, Cloud instances, Physical Servers using usage reports and application transaction descriptions • Knowledge share, demonstrate and teach IT application development, support, business technology liaisons rules of engagement for IT Capacity Planning, Forecasting and Management • Develop "what if" scenarios to analyze performance, capacity, consolidation opportunities and possible platform synergies. • Identify application/infrastructure performance bottlenecks and recommend remediation strategy. • Interface with application, network and system engineers for establishing capacity requirements during the project life cycle; especially as they relate to capacity- and performance-tuning activities. • Understand capacity requirements (business, applications and infrastructure) and ensure new services are designed to meet agreed targets in a cost effective manner. Make sure ETS is not paying for more capacity than needed or under capacity which may impact business. o Technical discussions with application development and quality assurance personnel to incorporate measure, thresholds and performance features at design, development and test stages. o Technical review and analysis of application/infrastructure performance in production in both an incident/problem management process as well as on a proactive-periodic review cycle. o Assist as necessary to diagnose performance problems, when necessary. • Stay informed of trends and best practices in the performance and capacity planning area. • Assist in defining technical standards and procedures for capacity management , reporting and planning. • Influence the design process with capacity related knowledge/artifacts ensuring that solution design meets capacity & performance service targets *Relevant Years of Experience Required:• 5-7 years of experience as a Capacity Analyst in mid to large-sized organizations.* *Required Skills:* • Strong technical background; both architecture and engineering • Capacity Analysis tools, Power BI and R • Experience with virtualization, specifically VMWare; Data Insight, AppDynamics • Experience in Linux/Windows platforms • Excellent communication skills at all levels *Education, Certifications, or Special Licenses:* • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities have been acquired. • ITIL foundation certification (preferred) *Note: We are Working with tier-1 Vendor.* Thanks & Regards, Udbhav Mathur Talent Acquisition Specialist Email:- umat...@tekshapers.com <tar...@tekshapers.com> Gtalk: udbhav.intime Tekshapers Inc. – WMBE Firm 1441 E.
