The DB2 Database Administrator is responsible for all activities pertaining to Develop, Implement, Administer, and maintain DB2 databases in AIX , Linux / Windows. Roles for this position requires 5+ years of exposure as a Database Admin that includes monitoring, database standardization and optimization, and risk identification and remediation, change control, incident troubleshooting etc. This position would require working with partners/ vendors. *MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: * Technical contact for DB2 Database administration and support. Implements complex database designs for the core enterprise applications, including software installation, creation, tuning, and management of all production and non-production databases. - Database performance tuning and troubleshooting. Configures database access and allocates database resources for optimum configuration and performance. - DB2 backup and recovery techniques.
