Job title: .Net developer Duration: 4+Months Location: New Braunfels, TX *(Locals)* *Position Summary* The .NET Software Engineer– Internet is a contributor to all steps within the SDLC including functional and non-functional requirements gathering / validation, analysis, design, construction, testing and implementation. The analyst may work individually, as part of a team, or as a team leader in the development and implementation of systems. All analysts are responsible for delivering quality solutions and services to the organization, its clients and customers. *Key Duties / Responsibilities* - Key member of development group during design, construction and product transition to technical support teams. - Analyzes design trade-offs and proposes alternate system solutions. - Collaborate with business analysts, and product development to determine major system enhancements and new functionality. - Provide technical guidance and training to fellow IT staff members. - Works closely with project manager to determine project scheduling and resource requirements; Meets scheduled deliverables that are defined by the project team. - Suggests continuous improvements to existing construction and documentation techniques. - Reviews QA plans and procedures to support major project implementations. - Initiates project status communications with project managers on a timely basis. * * *Education & Knowledge Required* - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent required - 3 to 5 years of experience in designing and developing complex eCommerce-based applications - Experience with Object Oriented Design and Object Oriented Programming - Experience with UML, WSDL/SOAP and Service Oriented Architecture - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills - Knowledge of various SDLC methodologies, when to apply the various types, and their functions within a development environment - Team player *Experience / Skills / Abilities Required* - 3 – 5 years experience in the following technologies is required: - Visual Basic.NET/C#.NET,ASP.NET <http://asp.net/> - XML Web Services, - Variable Data Publishing, - ADO.NET <http://ado.net/>, and - Oracle (PL/SQL) or Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL). - Proficiency in the following technologies is also desired, but not required: XMPie Java, familiarity with object relational mapping, proficiency in the use of development driven testing techniques, and building and consuming web services. *Communication & Contacts Required* Works closely with Marketing, Sales and *e-Commerce* to execute program specifications. *Decision Making* Plans and performs complex work where only general policies or procedures are available.
