either investment banking or regulatory reporting.
*Description:*
Business Intelligence work stream has been launched to understand the
Company's profitability, value drivers and risk metrics in greater detail.
Through the development of enhanced reporting metrics and a cost attribution
process, BI will provide management with the tools to make more informed
decisions
The technical scope of Business Intelligence includes the implementation of
the following components:
Interactive KPI dashboards, reports and ad hoc analysis tools
Event based actionable intelligence and workflow
Multidimensional risk adjusted profitability
Data warehouse and data marts
*Requirements*
SQL Server developer with responsibilities for design, development and
testing. T-SQL programming and SSIS ETL development.
Interpretation and understanding of functional specifications
Writing technical design documents adhering to predefined standards
Design of physical data model.
Hands on development of quality (i.e. readable, performing and supportable)
T-SQL code on an SQL Server 2008 database, delivering the functionality
detailed in the technical specifications
Hands on experience in working in Unix/Linux operating systems.
Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and department standards
Performance Tuning
Conducting peer reviews and providing constructive feedback
Mentoring any less experienced members of the team – or those new to the
technology.
Preparation of detailed unit test cases
Execution of unit test cases and documentation of results
Providing support during QA and UAT test phases
Diagnosis and resolution of defects found during QA and UAT test phases
5 to 6 years of IT experience with atleast 2 big projects in a development
capacity
· MSSQL, T-SQL, Database design, performance tuning
· SSIS
· Good knowledge on Unix/Linux
· Knowledge of UML, Visio, Enterprise Architect or E/R Studio
· Perforce or other source code control tools
· Knowledge of software development ‘best practices’
· Good knowledge of the software development life cycle
· Experience of investment banking
· Working knowledge of additional languages, tools (Autosys, ASP .net, C#,
MS-Access, MS-Excel)
· Knowledge of investment banking industry and regulatory reporting
functions
