*Main Duties *
You will be responsible for designing and implementing components of an
end-to-end application monitoring solution. This requires building custom
applications that will integrate with various 3rd party monitoring tools
such as *Ganglia, IBM Netcool, Nimsoft NimBUS, and Microsoft SCOM*. Tasks
will include engineering solutions for extracting metric and event data from
existing tools and providing it to consumers via pub / sub messaging. Other
aspects may include integrating a custom GUI with a web services backend for
self-service configuration of these 3rd party tools.
*Person Requirements *
*Minimum Qualifications: *
*- BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience in Java based development
- In-depth knowledge of Message Oriented Middleware services such as Tibco
EMS, Tibco RV, and Solace
- Well versed in SDLC and Software Engineering
- Thorough understanding of enterprise application architecture
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Highly effective verbal and written English communication skills

*Preferred Experience:
*
*- Previous experience integrating custom solutions with application
performance monitoring tools such as OpTier, SL RTView, and / or systems
management products such as HPOV, Nimsoft NimBUS, or Ganglia
- Proficient in Web Services and related technologies
- Experience with Complex Event Processing (CEP)*
*- UI development experience using JSP, Ajax, or Flex
- Knowledge of data cache solutions such as Oracle Coherence*
