The others are variations of the same in terms of expertise and responsibilities. This will be a contract to hire (long term contract) and the need is immediate. The candidate will work with system engineers and architects to define and implement new features, components, and services from specs employing Java-based technologies with no direct supervision. This engineer will often lead requirement analysis, development planning activities and serve as development team leader. As well, the position requires a strong and deep understanding of software development both as a team leader and as an individual developer. Particular expertise required in Java, JSPs, J2EE, web presentation technologies (HTML, CSS), web servers (WebLogic) and databases (Oracle preferred). The ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate with clients, senior leaders, peers and mentor junior staff members. The engineer should have experience in developing high-profile projects that operate on a 24/7 basis. The candidate should have demonstrated experience resolving testing and production issues and has a track record of consistently rendering clear technical judgment and routinely considering architecture-level and project-planning issues.
