Please send resume to bas...@boston-technology.com *Position: *Oracle Apps DBA *Location: *Nashville, TN *Duration: *3+ month This position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining RDBMS structures to support business needs and application development, utilizing strong communications and prioritization skills. Will coordinate, review, analyze and approve the physical database requirements of databases and all associated objects; such as, but not limited to the applications that access the RDBMS structures. Essential job duties include, but are not limited to, the following: · Installation, configuring and maintenance of multiple Oracle eBusiness Suite R12 environments in PROD, TEST, Integration, DEV, and DR environments · Design and implementation of high availability environments utilizing Oracle RAC · Determine the impact upon software deployments, operations, and supportability to ensure timely and uninterrupted service for the customer · Participate in the software development life cycle for Oracle Financials, BI warehouse, EDI, and other applications. · Work in partnership with the enterprise architecture team to design and implement solutions per agreed upon architecture specifications. · Be recognized for enterprise application implementation expertise in the Oracle Database architecture discipline. · Work in partnership with system administrators and engineering groups to assist in the design changes to equipment. · Determine the impact upon software deployments, operations, and supportability to ensure timely and uninterrupted service for the customer · Provide performance-related and system support for RDBMS data structures in test, quality assurance, and production environments utilizing current tool-sets. · Ensure database connectivity requirements are met · Provide project leadership ability for short-term projects · Provide 24 hour on-call support on a rotation basis Knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to be successful in this role include: · Design and implementation experience with high availability aspects of database & related systems (RAC, Dataguard etc) · Installation and configuration experience with Oracle EBS Financials, Oracle RAC 11gR1, Oracle RDBMS 10gR2, and Oracle Grid Control · DBA Tools, such as Quest Toad for Oracle, Data Analysis, PL/SQL Optimizer, Data Modeler for Performance Tuning and Capacity Planning · Must have intermediate to advanced administration and scripting skills with Solaris, Linux; Microsoft Windows 2003 OS is a plus. · MS SQL Server, DB2 and/or iSeries Database background is a plus · Strong team player with a positive attitude; committed to the success of the overall team · Good interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Must be able to provide 7x24 on-call support · Must be able to work within a team of DBAs with minimal guidance Required education and experience includes: · Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 10 years work experience with Relational Database Management Systems with Oracle. · 6 years work experience with Relational Database Management Systems with a combination of Oracle EBS Financials, Oracle RAC 11gR1, Oracle RDBMS 10gR2, and Oracle Grid Control · 6 years work experience with systems development methodologies · 6 years work experience with the design, creation and maintenance of database structures · 6 years work experience with the development and revision of database standards, procedures and strategies Additional Preferred Qualifications include: · Work experience with MS SQL Server and/or DB2 Thanks & Regards Ghouse Basha Resource Manager Phone No: 781-544-4799 ext: 111 Fax No: 508.519.9180 bas...@boston-technology.com www.boston-technology.com An Inc 500/5000 Company Certified Minority Owned Business Enterprise (MBE) Notice of Confidentiality: The information contained herein is intended only for the confidential use of the recipient.
