*Role: Oracle DBA Location: Richmond, VA Duration: 7 + months Contract * **Must have excellent communication skills!**Must be on the East Coast. * * Skills/Experience Needed: -Seeking a self directed, highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a team oriented demeanor. Demonstrated expertise in: -Analysis (low level) and development of functions in a client server environment working with a vendor specific product set (Meter Data Management/Oracle Utilities). -Analyzing business requirements and writing effective test cases. This includes analysis, development and execution of complex scenarios. -Performing different types of Testing: Black box, Integration, Stress, System. Specific: -Oracle DB. -PL-SQL/stored procedures. -Oracle(Lodestar) Energy Information Platform - desired -Oracle(Lodestar) Rules language - desired -XML/XSLT experience a plus -Visual Basic a plus. -Familiarity /expertise with metering /billing (especially interval data) a strong plus. * * Responsibilities/Duties. 1. Create and execute detailed test scripts for MDM and interfacing systems. 2. Perform all phases of testing (unit, string, volume, UAT, regression, etc) on the base MDM system and all modifications provided by Oracle (product upgrades, patches, etc.). 3. Provide root cause analysis of product defects encountered 4. Design, develop and implement product modifications/solutions using the core MDM product and toolset. 5. Provide low level analysis and design for development and maintenance of the application. 6. Develop estimates and task work breakdown structures. 7. Analyze new requirements and identify solution alternatives and define detailed system modifications 8. Convert conceptual designs into technical solutions. 9. Perform rotating on-call support for the application. * * Qualifications -B.S.
