* Role: Java Front End Developer Location: Jersey City, NJ Duration: 6 + months* Description: Responsible for design and development of applications in the Equities business at JP Morgan Asset Management Applications include Portfolio Management, Trading and Research functionality Close interaction with Business users, such as Portfolio Managers and Investment professionals in the US and abroad. Work closely with the Technology and Business partners to gather requirements and translate them into functional/technical specification documents (where needed). Work closely with technical team leads on Design & Architecture changes that may be required. Strong understanding of multi-tiered architectures. Must have a keen eye for detail with a focus on quality control Must be a team player; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet competing/changing deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience communicating with Senior Management and Business leads. Experience: 7-10 Years * * Technical Skills: * * Java/J2EE 7-10 years of experience with Java/J2EE development Object Oriented Design/Development in Java Heavy User Interface Development Experience including Swing, JSP, Struts Extensive knowledge of Java libraries threading, IPC Understanding of Java JVM/JRE Environment Extensive experience with architecting memory management solutions Multi-threading Development Performance Tuning and Enhancement Experience with Agile Development Techniques a plus * * Database Responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas. May include hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance or enhancement of existing applications.
