Main responsibilities of the position are as follows: (1) Expand core switches, coordinate WAN vendor to install 100Mb link, swap out internet router to handle 100Mb link, swap out packet shaper & license to handle 100Mb bandwidth, expand access switches, add vpn device and enable clustering mode. Security - enable port access across VLANs as required by projects. Adhere to & enable firm security standards. Coordinate and establish Client IPSec VPN tunnels. (2) Create plans & checklists. Create & update configurations, designs. Create and update administrative procedures. Audit current configurations, raise issues and concerns, resolve poor configurations.
