Thanks Skills: A Production Support analyst is required to conduct and coordinate production operation activities and schedules to satisfy or exceed customers’ expectations established in the SLAs. Responsible for daily production support of application systems and has the ability to identify the development and deployment approach to be used to fix production issues. Also responsible for managing development and testing environments, and support of various tools used in the development team’s SDLC process Organize a centralized production support team for the Distributed Systems applications. Support and Maintain SLAs, metrics, and performance measurement process for the applications and environments in scope. XStructure the team and its activities to ensure full support of critical applications and business processes. Maintain documentation and knowledge bases for distributed application to continued support. Execute on the strategy of productivity increase and cost reduction. Work with the supervisor to evaluate new technologies; serve as the technology expert in the platforms supported. Manage relationships with the corporate shared services. Technology •Skilled in Unix-, Java-, and Oracle-based system support (Windows/Intel- and .NET-based experience is a plus). •Technically proficient in change control, source control, monitoring, log analysis, and other production operations technology and tools. Ability to analyze technical problems in large and inter-dependent systems, isolate their root causes, and identify short-term and long-term solutions. •Ability to work effectively under pressure. Process •Experience implementing quality guidelines, standards and procedures for mission-critical IT systems. •Strong project management skills e.g. planning, budgetary control, etc Knowledge: Technical Has in-depth knowledge of responsible technical area. Is familiar with all IT functions and services. Understands architectural issues and factors them into decisions and recommendations. Knowledge of Unix-, Java-, and Oracle-based system principles, design, and operation. (Windows/Intel- and .NET-based experience is a plus). Business Understands customer requirements and their impact on proposed solution. Understands the business unit’s products, services and basic business processes. Anticipates how technology enhancements will affect business processes. Understands business impact of various solutions, and can assess tradeoffs between business needs, technology requirements and costs. Project Management •Broad knowledge of the systems development life cycle, and client business area functions and systems. •Familiar with the needs of the developers and other system development staff, and with the tools and methodologies used during typical SDLC. •Experience implementing quality guidelines, standards and procedures Education and Experience: Education: BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent; advance degree desirable Experience: Typically candidates in this role will possess a minimum of 2 years experience in managing and supporting medium to large-scale production support operations and staff -- Candidate MUST be able to attend a face to face interview after a phone.
