*Position:* Network Engineer
*Length:* 6+ months
*Location:* Washington, DC

*Responsibilities*
Position is for a full time, post-sales, hands-on Principal Design Network
Engineer. Position will provide Network Engineering services in support of
large enterprise customer data networks. The position serves as the primary
engineering interface to the customers and supports the design and
implementation of customer's WAN/LAN/WLAN enterprise network projects and
comprises the following activities:
•       Work with customer technical teams to provide solutions for
customers' internetworking communications requirements.
•       Investigate, design, plan, and implement physical and logical
communications networks.
•       Prepare schematics to define and illustrate network design
solutions.
•       Prepare work orders containing instructions to be used by
technicians to configure network hardware and software.
•       Perform router/switch network hardware/software upgrades.
•       Perform WAN - IP Routed Network Integration.

*Qualifications*:
•       Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or
related technical field.
•       Cisco knowledge with 7-10 years, experience in network design,
operational support, or hands-on implementation and configuration of
routers, hubs, switches, and cabling in a large enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN
environment. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP). Knowledge of
EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, FR/ATM, MPLS, WLAN, IPVPN, IP Telephony, ACLs,
TCP/IP, IPX.
•       Excellent customer interface, oral communications, and technical
writing skills is a must.
